July 15 - What I Did Today

Home again today. Lay in bed this morning listening to the radio. The National Radio (publicly owned radio) has an excellent show between 9am and 12pm weekdays - news, interviews, discussion - that I only get to listen to when sick, so I treated myself.

And friend of Deb's came over with her her 3 month old baby, so they sat in the living room talking babies. Being sick, unshowered, sweaty and kinda miserable I hunkered in the bedroom unsociably. But Deb's friend brought this wonderful fruit loaf with cinnamon icing that I devoured for lunch.

We all dozed in the living room this afternoon. Cats, baby and us. I slouched on the couch with Tess on my lap and Matthew nestled on my chest, his head just under my chin. It's a wonderful feeling to have your son sleeping like that against you.

Made spaghetti for dinner and spent the evening cruising random journal sites with Deb.

I can feel tomorrow is another at home day. I promise myself I'll try and do something productive.
