A
lovely day Well, I'd had a lovely day. It's been an absolutely stunning day calm, warm, brilliant clear air. There was a cruise ship sailing just up the harbour tonight. I sort of solved a design problem and just hope the client likes it. I got an unexpected cheque in the mail. It will only dent our debt, but it's money I didn't really expect would come. I got my haircut, and that's always a cool thing to do. It's one of the few luxuries I give myself regularly, an expensive haircut! I bought, for the first time in who knows how long, a couple of CD's. Yes they were on sale, but it's the buying that counts! I've been listening to cricket and sports talkback on the radio most of the night. "I'm a first-time caller, Doug, I'm a little nervous." "Don't be nervous mate, go ahead." Man talk, I love it! I've pottered around on the web, reading articles on fonts, and browser sizes, and e-commerce. I've caught up on e-mail and subscribed to another mailing list. I've watched the final of the "War in Colour" documentary, which wasn't a "lovely" experience, but having the time to watch it was. I've put Debbie and Matthew to bed, and peeked in later, watching them sleep. It's good to have days like this once in a while. |
