An intimate moment
4 March, 2000

“do you think it would be naughty”, said Deb as she reached down to stroke me under the duvet, “to send Matty out to the living room with a Wiggles video while we … you know”. She gave me a squeeze.

I looked at Matty jumping on the bed between us, yelling, “more book please”.

“Matty, you like the Wiggles don't you?”

“Yesssssss”, he said, already on his way to the living room.

Snuggling. Naked. “Mmmmmmmmmm, this is nice”. Kissing.

Vaguely I heard a soft patter of feet. Vaguely I sensed something leaping. Nothing registered though.

Soft skin. Touching. Aroused.

We both opened our eyes, shared a smile, were about to start kissing again when we heard a purr. Six inches above our heads, on the window sill, the cat sat. In the sun. Purring. Looking down on us in that disapproving way that only cats have.

“Ignore her Deb, let's keep going.”

Wrapping my leg across Deb's body, pressing in close. Kisses on the back of her neck. Fingertips lightly on my skin.

“Captain Feathersword,
He loves to dance
He can show you how

Captain Feathersword
He loves to dance … ”

“Mummy, mummy, mummy”. Matthew comes running in, big smile all over his face.

We sit quickly up. “What's up sweetie? You go back and watch the Wiggles, they're fun aren't they?”

He runs back out, Captain Feathersword still singing.

We try again, snuggling and stroking under the baleful eye of the cat.

“Oh yes, so close now … mmmmmmmm … yes, just there … soft, soft … oh god yes”

There's that lovely, intimate moment just before orgasm. You know she's going to come soon, can feel her body tensing, little soft shudders starting to build.

I slow down, wanting to prolong, then build it up again. Intense now, urgent.

“D . O. R . O . T . H . Y. — Dorothy the Dinosaur
D . O. R . O . T . H . Y. — She's my favourite dinosaur”

“SHIT”

“I'm sorry, I can't do it now, I've lost the feeling.”

Cuddling, trying once more, but all the time feeling the stare of the cat like a weight on the back of my head.

“Need this.” Kissing. “Been too long.” Touching. “Yes, touch me like that”

“Daddy daddy daddy” Feet running, small body flopping on top of me as he climbs up on the bed.

I look at Deb. Deb looks at me.

“It ain't going to happen right now is it?”, I say as I reach for another book to read Matthew.

The cat has a Cheshire grin on her face.
